A chance to win a $100, $50 and $25 Sears Gift Card. ENTRIES MUST BE IN VIDEO FORMAT!!!!! Just leaving a comment will NOT enter you in the giveaway!!!
I announced earlier this week I would be attending the 2012 Kenmore Blogger Summit in Chicago. I am still so excited about this opportunity. I received my Itinerary yesterday and Kenmore is going all out. From our travel arrangements to the Summit it's self. My schedule will be packed full of informative and fun activities from Kenmore and Google+. While there are roughly 44 fellow bloggers attending, Kenmore is not leaving my readers out of the fun. The are offering a Challenge/Giveaway for my readers. There will be 3 winners chosen by Kenmore to win a $100, $50 and $25 Sears Gift Card. Kenmore wants to know: When tasked with the overwhelming demands of day-to-day chores, a little creativity goes a long way – and helps stretch our resources a bit. What is your most unusual, yet practical, use of a common household appliance? What I thought was just a way of cleaning is actually a little unusual. My first thought would have to be my Dryer, I use it to fluffy and dust so many things in my house. With a dog I have lots of artificial plant life in my home, it is hard and time consuming to dust them all. So I simply take them and stick them in the dryer and set to air tumble on gentle and in under 10 minutes they are fresh and dust free. I even do my lampshade's and shoes. I have a piece that fits in my dryer that keeps it from tumbling, (sorry don't know the technical name) I then place the shades or shoes on the rack and set on delicate for 10 minutes. The shapes come out dust free and the shoes come out fresh smelling plus you don;t have the hear the thump thump of the shoues tumbling in the dryer. I haven't been able to do this recently though as my dryer is 13 years old and the piece I need to do this is non-functional. My dishwasher also has a job or two that are unusual. Like cleaning dirty dishes isn't hard enough on the machine! But I clean my husbands work caps (baseball hats) in it, when my kids were little I washed all those little toys kids seem to collect, my ceiling fan light fixtures all get washed and come out sparkling too. Basically I have put anything that I would wash in my sink and put it in the dishwasher if it fits! Now to the Challenge: What is your most unusual, yet practical, use of a common household appliance? RULES: THIS MUST be a VIDEO ENTRY.
