Watching our favourite satellite television program 'bake it' with chef Eddie on direct tv is the best night of the week. I put the little monsters to bed at about 7.30 pm to get some peace. I open up a bottle of rose wine and get a pen and pencil at the ready, then I sit down and just wait patiently for the best program in the world to begin.

Chef Eddie is a character in himself. On the show he knows cooking like the back of his hand, but his cheeky grin and innocent looking face make him resemble a young lad with school boy charms. My fingers feverishly write down the method and ingredients of certain pastries that I may enjoy as my eyes seldom leave the television screen. He is not an head turner in looks, but I would not turn him away from my front door, he does give me goose pimples. My husband likes the show but loves it more when I try and bake some of the pastry recipes that I get from there. Most of them turn out gorgeous and my family always ask for more. Occasionally I will add my own touch to the recipe to spice things up a little as the whole of my family love spicy hot foods.
